I like the new brief.
I already did a project on silence though, the mapping project was based on John Cage's 4'33''.
I reckon this will help me get started on this as I spent a long time thinking about what silence is and what it means already.

Plus, I had a few ideas for a project linked to my essay which totally fits into this title! Good times =)

Here's a few things I just found around to get started.

Good night and good luck

After a lot of messing round I finally decided after my review that this is going to be my final Kino poster for Good night and good luck... Now, if I can just get the dam thing to print out in the right colours then everything will be fandabbydozy.

I stayed with my aunty when I was doing work experience in London and while I was there I found this Alice in Wonderland/ Through the looking glass book. When I opened it I found that it was my mums and her Grandpa had given it to her on her 7th birthday! I reckon it was printed between 1966 and 1968 so its over 40 years old.

Well I read it and it was crazy and totally different from the Disney film- there's this description in the beginning that says Carroll just made all the stories up on the spot for Alice (his friends daughter) and her sisters and all the poems and reciting in the book are taking the mick out of Victorian schooling and how they would just get children to learn stuff off by heart which wasn't really much use. Personally, I reckon some drugs might have been involved!

Then I saw in the paper a while ago that Tim Burton is remaking the film with Jonny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (a lot of my favourite people) and now I am very, very excited! The pictures look super exciting!

some lovely things

Here's a random collection of lovely things I have picked up over the last few months and weeks (mainly from London and the freshers fair). Enjoy!

Manchester Literature festival booklet- beautiful! If you find one keep it they are running out!
